This Workshop followed on from the previous three workshops at NIST Gaithersburg in February 2014, the Diamond Light Source in October 2014, and NIST Gaithersburg in May 2016. There was also an interim closed project steering meeting held at SAS-2015 in Berlin in September 2015.
The Workshop consisted of three parts. On Monday 19th there were presentation sessions on the work of CCP-SAS, the SASSIE software suite, and allied simulation efforts of broad interest to the scientific community. Attendees at this were also strongly encouraged to bring posters showcasing their modelling of biological and soft matter systems, or illustrating their need for modelling capability. Tuesday 20th featured more in-depth dialogue between the CCP-SAS project and individuals, networks, or institutions with activities in related software development areas, with those interested in participating in future CCP-SAS activities and, more importantly, towards developing collaborations with other projects and identifying areas for future joint funding applications. Finally, on Wednesday 21st there was informal training in the use of the SASSIE software suite and, for developers, an introduction to deploying and using the GenApp framework.
POST-WORKSHOP NOTE: Many presenters have graciously agreed to their talks/tutorials being publicly available. Please use the links below to access them. A short report on the meeting can be accessed here. Our web server is a little slow to download from, so please be patient!
